Trouble Shooting Information

- If the green light does not blink when a number key is pressed or the keypad does not light, try replacing the batteries.
- You may find after setting up one of your E-devices that it does not operate entirely as it should. Test the other codes for that device.
- If you are having problems setting up a TV/VCR combination, try setting up the TV and VCR separately using the brand I.D. for each component.
- If you are having problems getting your VCR to record, hold the Rec button down for about three seconds. This is a safety feature.
- If you press a button and the green light blinks and nothing happens, make sure that you are pointing your remote control directly at your E-device.
- If you enter a channel name or number and nothing happens, remember to push the Enter key.
- If channel +/- and Recall do not work for your RCA TV, due to RCA's design (1983-1987), only the original remote will operate these functions. Your Favorite Channel will still work on up to ten channels.
- If you enter a channel number/name and the TV goes to a different channel, try checking your User Labels. It is likely that you assigned that channel number to pick a different channel. Use the "Checking User Labels" routine. When you find the channel you are selecting, press Clear. Go all the way through the list. There can be more than one way to select a channel.
