Creating User Labels

If you have already printed the "STORED LABEL CHART", please use the User Label area for this step.
For labels over four characters long, you need only enter the first four characters
(but you can enter more). For example, Jennifer can be selected by JENN to JENNIFER.
You can also use numbers that make sense. For example, if over the air channel 22 is received on channel 11, you could tune channel 11 by entering 22 or 11.

User Label Chart
There are three columns on the Chart. Fill in the columns with your user information.
- NAME is whatever you want it to be.
- KEY is the sequence for that name. Using WHIO as an example: W=9, H=4, I=5, O=6 which is KEY 9456.
- CHAN is the channel number you will select with the user label.
Set Up Chart Example
To access User Label: press the "Set" key until the green light flashes twice; press "9-7-8".
Now, please complete the Set Up Chart.

Entering User Labels
You do not need to be in the same room as your TV for this step. You will need
your completed Set Up Chart and your Tune In remote control.
Caution: If you chose to have 22 tune Channel 11, it will not tune 22. Check to see that a number you chose for a user label does not tune a channel you watch.
The lights are very helpful. You will observe the green light flashes two times for the key number (first entry) and four times for the channel number (second entry).
- Press and hold Set until the green light blinks once, pauses and then blinks twice. Now release the Set key.
- Press and release keys: 9, 7, 8. The green Ready Light will turn on. You are now in the User Label Mode.
- Work from your User Label Chart. Press and release buttons for KEY numbers and Enter. The green light flashes twice. Press and release buttons for CHAN numbers and Enter. The green light flashes 4 times.
Repeat step 3 until your user labels are entered. If you stop, don't worry. The green light will go out. Go through the checking procedure below to determine where you were when you stopped. You can go back to step 1 and pick up from there.
When you have entered 15 user labels, the red "Full" light flashes. At this point you can change the channel number of a label but you cannot add labels without first erasing another label. This is explained in Item 5 of Checking User Labels.

Checking User Labels
When you have entered your user labels, you may want to check them. For checking, you need to be at your TV.
- Turn the TV on.
- Press and hold Set until the green light blinks once, pauses and then blinks twice. Now release the Set key.
- Press and release keys: 9, 7, 8. The green Ready Light will turn on.
- Using the Channel Scan Key (CH), press up channel. The TV will tune the channels.
- In the checking mode, if you want to remove a channel, you can. While the TV is at the channel you want to erase, press the Clear key. This will erase the label and the channel. The channel on the TV will not change until you resume scanning.
- To clear all entries, alternately press the CH scan (up or down) key, then the Clear key. Continue this procedure until when you press the CH scan key the Empty flashes.
- For additions go to step 1 of Entering User Labels.
You can now tune stations by User Label.
