Setting Up Components

We suggest that you first set up the components you want to operate with Tune In, starting with your TV. This will allow you to become familiar with Tune In. Then, set up Tune In with the features you wish to use.

You can operate up to six different components. If, for example, you do not have a cable box, you can program the Cable button for an additional TV or VCR.

Tune In is designed to control your home theater system! You can operate up to six of the following components: TVs, VCRs, cable boxes, CD players, DSS/DBS receivers, amplifiers, amp tuners, audio cassettes, digital audio tape, laser disk players and some other audio and video components.

A list of set up codes is provided for each device which can be controlled with your Tune In remote, and the first step in setting up any device is to identify which brand name device you are using.

To Exit Set Up Mode

The unit will exit the set up mode in three ways.
  1. If you don't do anything, after 15 seconds the unit will exit set up.
  2. Pressing the Set key while the green light is on will exit set up from the Favorite Channel, User Label and Stored Label modes.
  3. When a set up task has only one step, for example, when you enter a set up code for your TV, the unit will automatically exit Set Up.
