Updating Brand IDs

The brand that you are updating must be in memory. If it is not, obtaining updated Brand ID information is not a problem. A telephone call to Customer Service will allow us to download new information to you over the telephone line. It is important that you follow the instructions below.

  1. Know the manufacturer and the model number of the electronic device you need the number for before you call. Nothing can be done without this.
  2. Call Customer Service at (937) 866-9006. Do not call from a cordless or cellular phone!
  3. Customer Service will review your needs and give you specific directions.

To Update A Brand ID

  1. Turn on the device you want to set up.
  2. Press the device key where the brand is being set up, for example TV or Vcr.
  3. Press and hold Set until the green light on Tune In blinks once, pauses and then blinks twice. Now release the Set key.
  4. Press and release keys 9, 9, 8.
  5. Press the device key of the entertainment device you are updating.
  6. If the E-device turns off immediately, press the Set key.
  7. If the E-device does not respond immediately, then press the 1 through 9 and the 0 buttons one at a time. Each time check to see if your E-device responds.
  8. When the E-device responds, press the Set key.
    Note: Tune In locks in the setup information. It is now ready to use and your E-device is operational.
  9. Test your E-device with the new code to assure that the device is performing satisfactorily.
